The University is creating a long-term plan for the Camperdown/Darlington campus, looking ahead to 2050. It's about how the campus could look, feel and work, from green spaces and study spots to the buildings where you learn. It sets the direction for future projects, so now's the time to shape it.
It’s been over a decade since the University planned for the campus at this scale, and since you know this place better than anyone we want to hear from you.
We've been talking about improvements for the campus in different contexts for a long time – in surveys, workshops, student groups and plenty of chats in between. We're building on all we have heard, so we aren’t starting all over again. We want to know if we’re on the right track.
Based on what we've heard so far, several key themes are emerging to help guide how the campus evolves, and we'd like to explore these with you:
Great places to study, research and turn ideas into real-world impact.
A welcoming campus with places to hang out, connect and recharge (for free!).
Green, heritage-rich spaces that start with Country and are shaped by First Nations knowledge.
Buildings and spaces that work well, get used well and can adapt to what's needed next.
Smart choices about what gets built or fixed first, so change is affordable over time.
A campus that connects with the city, industry, government and partners, and local communities.
By taking part, you can help shape how the campus works, feels and supports current and future generations of students. We want to hear your ideas, experiences and hopes about student and campus life.
The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete and closes on 1 November 2026. Complete the survey to go into the draw to win an iPad valued at $700 or one of three $100 gift card vouchers.

We read everything, alongside what earlier surveys and workshops have already told us. Design and planning teams use the information to test and shape ideas for the campus.
We will share what we heard, and how this has shaped our plans in Semester 1 2027. Your ideas could help shape the campus long after you graduate.
