Support over the break

Some health and wellbeing services, including Safer Communities, will be unavailable during the University closedown period between 5pm on Friday 20 December 2024 and 9am on Tuesday 7 January 2025.

In a medical emergency dial 000 and ask for an ambulance. Be ready to give the location of the person(s) needing assistance. If you need urgent medical attention, attend the emergency department of the nearest public hospital.

The primary wellbeing supports available over the period are:

  • Sonder: All international students are eligible to access Sonder, a 24/7 on demand safety and wellbeing app

  • TalkCampus: Instant peer support for students all around the world.

  • 1800 Respect: Available for free (24 hours a day and seven days a week) to support people impacted by domestic, family or sexual violence.

If you require urgent support related to sexual assault, please contact RPA Sexual Assault service on 02 9515 9040 (during business hours) or after hours on 02 9515 6111. For other areas external to the University main campus, please contact your local sexual assault service.
