January and February intensives
If you want to enrol in a January or February 2024 intensive, there are some key things which you need to know.
Enrolling in Sydney Student
You may select your units in Sydney Student. Find out more about selecting units of study in Sydney Student.
Getting your intensive session timetable
The timetable for January and February intensives will be managed in Sydney Timetable. Learn more about Sydney Timetable system and its key features.
After you complete your enrolment in Sydney Student, you will need to log in to Sydney Timetable between 19 December 2023 and 12 January 2024 for Intensive January and between 19 December 2023 and 15 January 2024 for Intensive February to allocate yourself to available classes for the intensives that you have enrolled in. In many instances, there will only be one class for a unit of study. If this is the case, you will be automatically allocated to this class. Unlike in previous years, staff in faculties and schools will no longer allocate you to classes for intensive units.
There is no preferencing period for January or February intensives, so you will be able to allocate yourself to a class straight away. Find out how to allocate yourself to a class on the review and adjust page.
If you don’t allocate yourself to your classes before the deadline, you will be allocated classes by the Timetabling Team. The last day to allocate yourself to classes is 12 January 2024 for Intensive January and 15 January 2024 for Intensive February.
If you are unable to allocate to classes due to exceptional circumstances, you can use our online form to request assistance with your timetable for January or February intensive units of study. For your request to be considered, you need to include any required supporting documents.
