The University Scholars Leadership Symposium (USLS) Grant provides funding for a select group of University of Sydney students to attend the USLS Conference.
Hosted by Humanitarian Affairs Asia, this annual symposium brings together emerging leaders from around the world to explore humanitarian issues, engage in leadership development, and collaborate on global challenges.
The 2026 University Scholars Leadership Symposium will be held in Bangkok, Thailand. It runs from 4 to 7 August 2026 with the theme of "Lead the Change".
The grant does not cover personal expenses, additional travel, entertainment, or visa fees if required.

The USLS Grant is awarded through a competitive selection process. Applications will be reviewed by a panel within each Faculty or University School, with at least two staff members assessing submissions against the selection criteria. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview in mid-May, and the successful candidates will be notified afterwards.
