The focus of this unit is the regulation of international trade, introducing competing perspectives on trade and the primary elements of governance and regulation as they affect international business. You will explore recent trends and national policies that seek to assist the international trading activities of businesses through free trade agreements, export and import requirements, rules relating to the supply of services (like education) as well as the relationship and intersection with the World Trade Organisation's rules of trade between nations.
