This Unit of Study explores Magnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI) techniques used in the body, with a focus on cardiac, breast, liver, foetus, enterography, prostate, female pelvis, whole body DWI and MRA etc. Imaging protocols and techniques including the technical aspects of the varioussequence types will be explored with a view to gaining an understanding of how to deal with the challenges of voluntary and involuntary patient motion as well as physiological motion in body imaging. An overview of emerging technologies including MR/PET and lung imaging is provided., Learning is supported by relevant website and video resources together with peerreviewed clinical and research publications to demonstrate the appropriate application of different MR sequences and modifications required for a range of patient presentations.
