2024 unit information
This unit of study builds on the skills acquired in SPAN1621. It continues to focus on everyday communication but introduces students to more complex grammatical structures such as the past tenses. It also continues our exploration of the history, society and culture of the Spanish-speaking countries.

At the completion of this unit, you should be able to:
- LO1. apply metalinguistic knowledge (learning how the Spanish language works grammatically)
- LO2. use the course linguistic structures in written and oral communication.
- LO3. apply (inter)cultural competence: discovering how essential concepts in the Spanish-speaking world intersect with your own perceptions of the world.
- LO4. apply cultural analysis.
