Nadine Jones, a professional member of the Australian Federal Police (AFP), has been selected to receive the prestigious 2024 Future Leaders MBA Scholarship. The $60,000 scholarship is designed to support individuals looking to advance in their careers and study the University of Sydney Business School’s part-time MBA.
Having studied both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of International Studies at the University of Sydney, Nadine has since worked within the Federal government domain, building a wealth of experience across border management, national security and law enforcement sectors.
With her commitment to lifelong learning, and passion for improving and enhancing government outputs to impact social growth, the Future Leaders MBA Scholarship helped to further motivate Nadine’s continued dedication to professional development.
The knowledge and learnings from an MBA will allow me to translate my experiences in breaking down barriers and obstacles and transforming them into opportunities by equipping me with the relevant business tools to bring about actionable and impactful change.
As a woman who has held management roles within a number of federal agencies, and as a member of the Australian Council of Women and Policing (ACWAP), Nadine hopes to continue shining a spotlight on the importance of gender equity in management roles.
Nadine commenced studies in the part-time MBA in Semester 1, 2024. The Future Leaders MBA Scholarship is awarded on a yearly basis to an exceptional applicant, who successfully completes a statement of motivation, a discussion forum with accompanying reflective essay, and a final interview.
