The Institute of Transport and Logistics Studies host regular seminars with national and international thought leaders, bringing you the latest research into transport, logistics and supply chain management.

Leadership and Policy Seminar Series

Established in 2003, our Leadership and Policy Seminar Series brings you leading national and international experts speaking on topical transport and logistics issues relevant to business and academia. The seminar series attracts a broad audience from industry, government and academia as well as our own faculty and research students.

Our seminar convenor is Professor Rico Merkert, Chair in Transport and Supply Chain Management, and Professor John D. Nelson

Seminars are generally held monthly on Wednesdays from 12pm to 1pm between March and November (with a break in July). Please check the venue details listed under each seminar.

Invitations are sent to our mailing list at least one week in advance. Seminars are free, however, an RSVP is required, so please respond to the seminar invitation.

Research Seminar Series

Established in 2018, our Research Seminar Series brings you leading national and international research experts to share their current and most exciting research projects. The seminar series attracts a broad audience from industry, government and academia as well as our own faculty and research students.

Our research seminar convenor is Professor Michael Bell, Chair in Ports and Maritime Logistics.

Seminars are usually one hour long, including the presentation and time for Q&A.

Invitations are sent to our mailing list at least one week in advance. Seminars are free, however, we do ask you to RSVP, so please respond to the seminar invitation.
