During two separate two-day courses, University academics Dr Daniel Gozman and Dr Luke Deer presented to executives from the Bank of China on the impacts of financial technology innovation on the international banking industry.
This partnership was a result of the Bank of China’s recent program to assist with ongoing professional development for senior executives. These programs are focused on giving short term academic and industry exposure on topics pertaining to the ability to retain, reward, satisfy and improve existing and future human assets of the Bank.
Presenter, Dr Daniel Gozman, provided his thoughts on the value of this course for executives.
“Emerging technologies, coupled with customer centric design, are creating new strategies and collaboration opportunities for both traditional financial services firms and new comers. How these firms leverage new innovations to achieve alignment between business models and technical architectures will redefine the nature of competition across the financial services’ value chain in the future."
The sessions took place in August 2019, and were attended by 35 executives. Both sessions were bilingual with translators present in the room, and were capped off with a historic tour of the University.
