Business School international scholarships

Up to 100 scholarships ranging from $5,000 to $10,000 will be awarded each year to commencing Business School international undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students.

To be eligible for the scholarships, applicants must be:

  • an international undergraduate or postgraduate coursework student intending to commence their coursework program in the upcoming semester

The scholarships do not apply to:

  • Australian and New Zealand citizens or Australian permanent residents
  • students applying to the MBA (Leadership and Enterprise), Master of Management (CEMS), Master of Philosophy or Doctor of Philosophy

Business School International Scholarships are awarded across up to three rounds per semester. The scholarship is application-based and incoming students are encouraged to submit an application early to qualify for consideration for a scholarship.

Applications for a Business School International Scholarship involve submitting a statement of motivation.

Only applications for the Business School International Scholarship with an unconditional offer for their intended program of study will be considered for a scholarship. Scholarships will be awarded based on academic merit and quality of statement of motivation.

The value of the scholarship awarded will be credited to the awardee's tuition fee account.

Learn more and apply at the Business School International Scholarship webpage.

When will I find out if I have been successful in receiving a Business School International Scholarship?

Offers will be made 2-3 weeks after the close of the relevant round.

If I am successful, when do I receive the funds?

The Business School International Scholarship will be paid into your fee account soon after the census date, and will reduce the amount payable on the next semester's fees by the value of the scholarship.

What if I don't have an Australian bank account?

You do not need to have an Australian bank account as the scholarship is paid into your fee account.

What happens if I apply for a Business School International Scholarship but do not have an unconditional offer yet?

Candidates must be a conditional offer holder on the day Business School International Scholarship offers are sent. If you have applied for both program admission and a Business School International Scholarship but not yet received an unconditional offer on the day offers are sent, you will still be considered for a Business School International Scholarship if there is a subsequent round.

What happens if I do not accept the scholarship by the acceptance deadline?

Offers not accepted by the nominated deadline will lapse. If exceptional circumstances will prevent you accepting the offer by the deadline, you should request an extension outlining your circumstances and the extra time required.

How do I ensure that I remain eligible after receiving a Business School International Scholarship offer?

Applicants must complete the Acceptance of their Unconditional Offer by the relevant deadline associated with their scholarship offer round, and remain enrolled after census date.

How are Business School International Scholarship offer recipients selected?

The Business School International Scholarship is awarded based on a competitive process that takes into consideration academic merit (as assessed from a student’s application for program admission) and the applicant’s statement of motivation.

Can I defer or suspend my studies and still receive a Business School International Scholarship?

No, the Business School International Scholarship is offered for the semester for which your unconditional offer has been made and cannot be deferred. If you defer your offer you will forego your Business School International Scholarship and will need to re-apply if you wish to be considered again.
