Application

Applications for the Indigenous Australians Leading in Business MBA Scholarship for Semester 1, 2026 are now open and will close at 10am, Monday 13 October 2025. Apply using the form below to be considered. 

We are offering a full scholarship for our part-time MBA program for Semester 1, 2026 with the aim to accelerate the rate at which Indigenous Australians move into senior leadership roles within all forms of Australian enterprises.

Eligibility

The Indigenous Australians Leading in Business MBA Scholarship is open to applicants who:

Applicants need not have applied for the degree prior to applying for the scholarship – however – only those applicants deemed eligible for entry to the part-time MBA via the prevailing admissions processes are eligible to be awarded the relevant scholarship.

The degree is currently not available to international students requiring a student visa. Current students enrolled in the University of Sydney MBA or University of Sydney employees are not eligible to apply.

Selection process

Entrants must complete an initial scholarship application and submit a statement of motivation.

Shortlisted applicants are invited to attend an interview with the judging panel.

  2. Submit an online application form via our website (application instructions will be provided after you register your interest)
  3. Upload a copy of your CV, academic transcript, supporting documents confirming Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identity, and a maximum two-page personal statement demonstrating:
    • leadership experience and potential in your chosen field,
    • a demonstrated commitment to advance the wellbeing and rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples,
    • a vision of how completion of the part-time MBA will further contribute to positive change for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
