We are delighted to offer multiple Indigenous Australians Leading in Business MBA Scholarships to study our part-time MBA, MBA (Technology and Digital Strategy) or Executive MBA

The University of Sydney Business School is committed to addressing the under-representation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in senior leadership positions. These scholarships aim to accelerate the rate at which Indigenous Australians move into senior leadership roles within all forms of Australian enterprises.

About the MBA (Technology and Digital Strategy)

Our highly interactive MBA (Technology and Digital Strategy) is designed to equip you with the skills to lead in the ever-evolving digital landscape. This new online degree focuses on mastering disruptive technologies, pioneering new business models, and excelling in people management and product development. All this, while making a significant positive impact on society.

Designed for professionals seeking to enhance their commercial business acumen and deepen their understanding of how technology drives strategy, this program also fosters the ability to innovate with technology to meet the evolving needs of customers and society.

The program is delivered online, and offers a blend of live virtual classes (including interactive workshops) and both self-paced and group assignments.

The Indigenous Australians Leading in Business MBA (Technology and Digital Strategy) Scholarship is open to applicants who meet the eligibility criteria for the program, and covers the full tuition fees for a maximum of four years of part-time study.

About the MBA

Our part-time MBA has a strong focus on developing the personal and interpersonal skills needed to lead in today’s hyper-connected, global environment. 

This degree is designed for professionals with 3-5 years of relevant experience looking to take their career to the next level and break into senior management.

The Indigenous Australians Leading in Business MBA Scholarship is open to applicants who meet the eligibility criteria for the program, and covers the full part-time MBA tuition fees for a maximum of four years of part-time study.

About the Executive MBA

Our Executive MBA takes you out of the classroom and around the world, giving you a range of unique experiences across Australia, Asia, India and the United States.

With a focus on experiential learning, disruption and adaptability, our Executive MBA will give you the opportunity to work with business leaders and global organisations to address dynamic and multifaceted problems.

The Indigenous Australians Leading in Business Executive MBA Scholarship is open to applicants who meet the eligibility criteria for the program, and covers full tuition fees, tenable for the duration of the degree (1.5 years).

Selection process

Entrants must complete an initial scholarship application and submit a statement of motivation.

Shortlisted applicants are invited to attend an interview with the judging panel.

How to apply

  1. Register your interest to apply online.
  2. Submit an online application form via our website (application instructions will be provided after you register your interest)
  3. Upload a copy of your CV, academic transcript, supporting documents confirming Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identity, and a maximum two-page personal statement demonstrating:
    • leadership experience and potential in your chosen field,
    • a demonstrated commitment to advance the wellbeing and rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples,
    • a vision of how completion of one of our MBA programs will further contribute to positive change for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Eligibility

The Indigenous Australians Leading in Business MBA Scholarships are open to applicants who:

Applicants need not have applied for the degree prior to applying for the scholarship – however – only those applicants deemed eligible for entry to the part-time MBA or the Executive MBA via the prevailing admissions processes are eligible to be awarded the relevant scholarship.

The degree is currently not available to international students requiring a student visa. Current students enrolled in the University of Sydney MBA or University of Sydney employees are not eligible to apply.
