Our vision is of a responsive approach to innovation opportunities as they arise with the aim of enhancing responsiveness, flexibility, adaptability and the role of higher education institutions in alleviating some of our contemporary communities’ most pressing needs.

Too often, traditional approaches to addressing health and education disparities in remote and Aboriginal populations are taken in isolation, channelled into communities through state or federal policy with limited leadership and control by the communities concerned. 

Our work aims to develop and deliver a suite of activites associated with community led innovation in remote and Aboriginal communities.

Our work will help to remove barriers to responding quickly to emerging opportunities to meet contemporary community needs. We hope to foster greater community-led innovation in remote and Aboriginal contexts and to create political and policy approaches to these communites.
