The Certificate of Transport Management is an annual professional development course for staff in the bus and coach industry and the community transport sector.

The Certificate of Transport Management introduces participants to the latest developments in the industry and is designed to provide knowledge and skills in management, planning and policy areas that are central to the success of this industry - including operators, suppliers and consultants.

The course broadens understanding of the industry and management considerations in running an efficient, safe and successful transport service.

The certificate is recognised as an important industry achievement for middle and senior management and is an excellent opportunity for career development. It is supported by Transport for NSW, BusNSW and private operators.

Successful completion of the course leads to the Certificate of Transport Management.

Course dates: 21 - 23 July 2026

The Certificate of Transport Management Refresher (CTMR) is only open to existing holders of a Certificate in Transport Management or a Certificate in Coach Management.

The three-day program is designed to refresh knowledge and skills in the management, planning and policy areas that are central to the success of this industry. We particularly welcome operators, suppliers and consultants to register. The course broadens understanding of the industry and management considerations in running an efficient, safe and successful transport service, offering participants the chance to update previous learning skills and to familiarise themselves with the latest developments in the industry including zero emission buses and sustainable transport options.

Following requests from previous CTMR participants, Day 4 of the CTM program will now be available to attend as an add on. Please choose this option when registering for the CTMR.

Registrations close Monday, 22 June 2026.

All fees are inclusive of GST, catering and access to learning material through our e-learning site, Canvas.

Cancellations: A 10% administration fee will be applied to refunds for any cancellation; no refund will be available for cancellations made after 22 June 2026.

An invoice can be raised for group bookings of three or more participants from the same organisation made before 22 June 2026. Please email business.itlsinfo@sydney.edu.au for further information.

The Institute of Transport and Logistics Studies (ITLS) is pleased to offer a range of scholarships, in partnership with our sponsors, to support professionals in the transport industry. These scholarships provide an opportunity to attend the Certificate of Transport Management (CTM) course, held from 21–24 July 2026.
