The Certificate of Transport Management is a professional development course for staff in the bus and coach industry and the community transport sector.

The Certificate of Transport Management is an annual professional development course for staff in the bus and coach industry and introduces participants to the latest developments in the industry.

The course is designed to provide knowledge and skills in management, planning and policy areas that are central to the success of this industry - including operators, suppliers and consultants. The course broadens understanding of the industry and management considerations in running an efficient, safe and successful transport service.

The certificate is recognised as an important industry achievement for middle and senior management and is an excellent opportunity for career development. It is supported by Transport for NSW, BusNSW and private operators.

Successful completion of the course leads to the Certificate of Transport Management, which is presented at the Institutes' Awards Night each year.

The course includes a number of popular panel sessions on the topic of Public Transport in the “New Normal”; Zero emission buses; and Industrial relations in the bus industry. 

ITLS and Transport for NSW are offering up to eight fee scholarships for suitable individuals working in TfNSW contracted Community Transport Service Providers (CTSPs) to attend the CTM course 11-14 July 2023. 

Volvo Bus Corporation is offering two fee scholarships for woman in transport to attend the Certificate of Transport Management (CTM) 11-14 July 2023.  

Applications close Friday, 21st April 2023. All applicants will receive confirmation of submission via email and the successful candidates will be notified by Friday, 12th May 2023.

Cancellations : A 10% administration fee will be applied to refunds for any cancellation; no refund will be available for cancellations made after the 11th June 2023.

An invoice can be arranged only for group bookings of three or more participants from the same organisation made before the 11th June 2023. Please email business.itlsinfo@sydney.edu.au with the organisation’s ABN and details of each participant, as required on the online registration form.

The course will be held at the University of Sydney Business School CBD Campus, which is located at Level 17, Stockland Building, 133 Castlereagh Street, Sydney.
