Introductory data science and AI for supply chain management

Delivered online in partnership with GS1 Australia as part of the NSW Government’s New Education and Training Model (NETM)
For business leaders and analytics champions who want to understand the current trends in AI and data science and the practical opportunities for enhancing their supply chain strategies.

Artificial intelligence (AI) and data science capabilities are increasingly important for building globally competitive companies and resilient supply chains.

This micro-credential is designed and delivered by Dr Jyoti Bhattacharjya and her team of AI and data strategy experts, who will guide participants towards identifying opportunities for implementing AI-based solutions to address their supply chain challenges.

The focus will be on practical AI and data strategy development for supply chains and addressing challenges in demand forecasting, procurement, predictive maintenance, warehouse management, and distribution. Participants will also get the opportunity for hands-on engagement with state-of-the-art AI-powered platforms that do not require any coding skills.

Each session will involve facilitated discussions of real problem scenarios as well as time for participants to reflect on their own unique business contexts, share experiences, and learn from each other. Upon completing this micro-credential, participants will feel confident about the use of AI in everyday managerial contexts and understand how to approach investment in AI-enabled analytics for supply chain management.

By completing the four modules of the micro-credential, the participants will gain an awareness of:

  • Building the business case for AI initiatives in supply chain management
  • Data governance best practices for supporting data science and AI capabilities in the context of increasing digitalisation in manufacturing and supply chain management
  • Global data standards for traceability in supply chains and implications for AI initiatives
  • Data science and AI tools for forecasting, predictive maintenance, statistical process control, and visualization
  • Assessment of return on investment (ROI) for data science and AI initiatives

This micro-credential is designed for business leaders and analytics champions who want to understand the current trends in AI and data science and the practical opportunities for enhancing their supply chain strategies.

EOIs close on September 15.
