Environmental engineering is a critical discipline that integrates engineering, science, and environmental management to create sustainable solutions safeguarding the planet from pollution and human-induced damage.
Environmental engineers find solutions for protecting the environment. They engineer pollution control, energy efficiency, water reclamation, and waste management. They assess project impact on the environment, develop alternative energy sources, recycling initiatives and remediate contaminated water and land.
