With over $1 million in scholarships available, Sydney Law School attracts the best and brightest minds to undertake innovative research in a world class environment.

What's on offer?

We offer a suite of Higher Degree by Research scholarships available for international and domestic students.

You can receive up to $55,000 per annum for up to 3.5 years, plus an additional $2,000 for new students as part of the Walter Reid prize.

Am I eligible?

To be eligible for a scholarship, you must have an unconditional offer of admission or be currently enrolled for full-time studies in a Doctor of Philosophy (Law), Master of Laws (Research) or Master of Criminology (Research) within the University of Sydney Law School.

How do I apply?

There are two routes for securing funding:

Please note: if you apply (and are successful) for the RTP scholarship, you are still eligible for a top-up from the Sydney Law School Scholarship (up to a maximum total amount of $55,000).

So our best advice is… apply for both!
