Engage with us

Together we can make an impact on the lives of women, families and babies
We engage with our partners and community to enrich and improve the research we undertake. We're also committed to establishing education pathways to train the next generation of researchers and clinicians.

Our partners and community

Our centre engages across the health sector and with the consumers and collaborators we serve to enrich and improve the research we undertake.

  • Westmead Fertility Centre - Westmead Fertility Centre has had an expansive engagement with the University of Sydney over the last 40 years - with the University assuming ownership and management in 2014 in line with the vision of Professor Brian Trudinger. We are proud to have Associate Professor Cecilia Sjoblom continuing to strengthen this engagement, joining the PRC as the inaugural Chair of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI). Associate Professor Sjoblom leads the Reproduction stream of the RPC with aligned activities at Westmead Fertility Centre to enhance clinical outcomes.
  • Sydney Health Partners (Reproductive, Maternal and Newborn Clinical Academic Group) - The Centre is a significant partner of the Sydney Health Partner Reproductive, Maternal and Newborn Health Clinical Academic Group. This group enables rapid research translation and also focuses on capacity building of healthcare researchers.
  • Sydney Infections Disease Institute - Infectious disease remains a significant cause of morbidity and mortality in perinatal health. The partnership between the Centre and Sydney Infectious Disease Institute builds on the joint expertise addressing some of the key global challenges.
  • Consumer and community engagement – The Centre is committed to ensuring the voice of consumers and health partners are engaged early in project development and embedded in the direction setting and integrity of our research. We regularly meet with our dedicated consumers committee to foster engagement and dialogue. Please reach out to express your interest in participating in our research.

Education pathways

We are committed to making changes and advancements in the field of reproductive and perinatal health and our Master of Medicine (Sexual and Reproductive Health) is taught by our clinical research leaders to advance evidence practice and insight within the health system. Within the Masters program in Sexual and Reproductive Health, the RPC leads units of study in:

  • Assisted reproductive technologies
  • Reproductive endocrinology and infertility
  • Abortion, contraception and preconception care
  • Maternal fetal medicine

Higher degree research (HDR) opportunities are also available, please contact us for more information.
