Our mission
Our mission is to provide the highest quality of research-based evidence to improve long-term health outcomes and clinical care for women, families and babies before conception, through to pregnancy and after birth.
In addition to research and clinical expertise, we are committed to establishing teaching and post-graduate research opportunities to train the next generation of researchers and clinicians responsible for the care of women and babies and the advancement of knowledge in the field.
Our history
The RPC is centred around the vision of Professor Brian Trudinger previously Professor of Maternal and Fetal Medicine, Westmead Clinical School. His vision was for a research centre focused on both preconception and pregnancy research, established to optimise both fertility and pregnancy outcomes leading to improved long-term maternal and offspring health.
