Four dancers performing a Cultural dance

Egyptian Cultural Day

Celebrating Egyptian heritage in Australia
Sunday 5 November: Celebrate the heritage, food, music, dance and people of Egypt in our exclusive one day event at the Chau Chak Wing Museum.

The Egyptian Cultural Day promotes the heritage, food, music, dance and people of Egypt with all Australians. Partnering with the Australian Egyptian Forum Council, which has been organising an annual celebration in Sydney for 20 years, the Egyptian Cultural Day at the Chau Chak Wing Museum brings together the largest collection of Egyptian antiquities in the southern hemisphere with its modern descendent communities.

Enjoy hourly talks from the perspective of members of the Egyptian diaspora in Australia, try Egyptian cuisine, view artworks by Camille Fox, enjoy traditional live Egyptian music and folkloric dance, as well as take part in a range of family activities, including face painting.
