Saturday 24 February: Explore the world of Chinese Tea culture, philosophy and tradition in this Chinese tea ceremony and tasting.

Explore the world of Chinese Tea culture, philosophy and tradition in this Chinese tea ceremony and tasting following a tour of the 'Chinese Toggles: Culture in Miniature' exhibition. Tea master Raymond, from Zensation Tea House, will lead a tea ceremony allowing all your senses to fully appreciate the complex nuances of different Chinese teas and principles behind the ceremony. A selection of auspicious Chinese Lunar New Year snacks will accompany the tea.

Before the tea ceremony, our China Gallery Curator, Dr Shuxia Chen, will lead a short highlights tour of the exhibition 'Chinese Toggles: Culture in Miniature' showing examples of Chinese toggles revealing the culture of Chinese food and drink.

About the tea master

Raymond Leung is the founder and Tea Master of Zensation Tea House.

Raymond has a varied career in Interior Design and Events Promotion, and as a Judo Master, Chinese Community Leader, Restauranteur and now he runs one of the most established tea houses in Sydney.

Throughout years of travelling, mostly to China & Japan he has had the opportunity to explore the Way of Tea in-depth. Travelling to different tea regions to experience first-hand the land and different tea cultures.

A proud Chinese-Australian, Raymond’s passion and mission is to share his heritage and valuable knowledge.
