To mark the centenary of the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb in the Valley of the Kings at Thebes in 1922 by Howard Carter, we invite you to join us for a series of free children's activity days.

Speak to archaeologists, handle objects from the time of Tutankhamun and get hands-on with arts and crafts as we recreate one of the walls from his burial chambers.

Learn more about the Boy King, his tomb, the colonial legacy of the discovery, and the world of New Kingdom Egypt. Be sure to visit our Egyptian Galleries while you are here and discover why scientists, scholars and tourists continue to be drawn to this enigmatic culture.
