Commonwealth supported students who commenced their studies before 1 January 2021
The Australian Government’s Job-ready Graduates program made changes to fees for CSP students who commence a new course of study from 1 January 2021. Under the package, some students are 'grandfathered students', meaning they continue to pay their original fee rate. If you transfer to a new course to do honours, you may not be grandfathered and may be charged the new fee rates for honours. Read our page on the Job-ready Graduates Package for more information about the changes.
Detailed information on completing honours in a business subject area – including eligibility, when to apply, and how to apply – may be found on the Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) page.
If you completed an undergraduate degree in commerce/business then please apply via the Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) page.
If you are completing a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws, you are encouraged to complete the Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) following completion of the Bachelor of Commerce. In that instance, you will need to defer the Bachelor of Laws for one year. Alternatively, you may complete the Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) following completion of the Bachelor of Laws.
If you are currently completing a combined Bachelor of Advanced Studies and commenced prior to 1 July 2024 then you may apply to complete the Bachelor of Advanced Studies (Honours). The information listed on the Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) still applies and you will need to have completed two majors. Find out more information for Bachelor of Advanced Studies students.
If you complete an undergraduate degree outside of commerce/business then you may still apply for honours in a business subject area. Eligibility and when to apply will remain the same as the Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) but you will need to consult with your home faculty/school regarding how to apply – see academic advice for relevant contact details. After we assess your application, we'll forward it to your home faculty or school for joint approval.
