You can view your Annual Average Mark and Semester Average Mark by logging in to Sydney Student. Go to My studies > Assessments > View your course results > Your average marks.
Generally, the University doesn't provide you with a progressive Weighted Average Mark (WAM) for the units you've completed so far, and a WAM won't appear on your final transcript.
However, if you completed units in Semester 1 2020, your WAM and Converted WAM (CWAM) are included on your academic transcript once you have been awarded. This is to ensure no student was academically disadvantaged due to the COVID-19 health crisis.
The University also does not use a Grade Point Average (GPA). If you are asked for a GPA, you'll need to contact the institution that is requesting the GPA for more information about its formula and apply it to your own grades.
To calculate your own average mark, you'll need a spreadsheet and your results notice from Sydney Student, which you can find by going to My studies > Assessments.
Steps:
Generally, all units have an equal weighting of one, although there are exceptions for some faculty and school calculations. See our knowledge article for examples of how to calculate different WAM marks.
