This unit provides you with intermediate-to-advanced level skills and knowledge to conceptualise, research and write a screenplay, and to direct and realise a short screen work in any style or genre. Through a series of film screenings, in-class exercises and practical studio sessions, you will learn diverse screenwriting and filmmaking techniques, methodologies and approaches to support your creative and technical development as a screenwriter and director. This learning is scaffolded by a historical and conceptual framework within which to situate your creative practice, helping you to develop and advance your original screen voice.
