DENT6041 Special Needs Dentistry I provides students with an opportunity to expand their understanding of preventive dentistry in more challenging clinical settings including in community settings for people with mild-moderate disability and residents in Residential Aged care Facilities (RACFs). Students will develop an improved understanding of the epidemiology, aetiology, pathogenesis, and preventive management strategies for dental disease, including caries, periodontal disease and oral cancer, appropriate to an early trainee in Special Needs Dentistry.
