This unit of study is designed to provide an understanding of how theory meets practice in contemporary macroeconomic policy. Topics may cover theoretical, empirical and policy-relevant developments in the field of advanced macroeconomics. Examples of topics include: international macroeconomics; international trade; economic growth; monetary policy; financial crisis; and economics of taxation.
