The capstone professional placement offers an opportunity to gain hands on experience in one of the University of Sydney’s institutional partners across the arts, museum and heritage sectors. Students undertake a 20-day internship, focused on a specific aspect of professional practice. Projects are designed to broaden skills and expertise and provide students with an opportunity to reflect on the relationship between theory and practice. Partner organisations include museums, galleries, art spaces, festivals and art fairs, libraries and archives, heritage consultancies, Indigenous art centres and keeping places, local councils, peak body organisations, auction houses and dealers.
