The Medicine Surgery and Community block 2 aims to further consolidate core knowledge and clinical skills developed in Year 1 focused on history taking, physical examination, clinical reasoning, teamwork and procedural skills in both hospital and community settings through guided experiential learning. It is aligned with topics introduced in year 1 including Haematology, Oncology, Musculoskeletal, Renal, and Gastrointestinal Medicine, as well as Drug, Alcohol and Sexual Health with an emphasis on clinical presentation(s), differential diagnosis, basic investigations and management principles. Students will spend three days each week at their clinical school and one day per week in the community. One day per each week will be reserved for flexible learning.
