This unit is designed to equip you with a conceptual understanding of, and technical expertise in, the use of digital effects for film and video projects. You will learn how to use software programs such as Adobe After Effects at an intermediate to advanced level, in order to understand how moving images can be transformed in combination with text, masks, animation, filters, effects and sound. Through a series of tutorials, screenings and practical studio tasks, you will develop and refine your After Effects authoring skills, culminating in the production of a studio project.
