This semester represents the final principal study voice semester for Music Theatre Voice. It will involve an early discussion with the teacher regarding a recital programme and the suitability of repertoire for the student's final recital outcome They will be supported through opportunities to present aspects of their recital work during vocal performance class and performance workshop. Students are also encouraged to enrol in Recital Preparation. On completion of this unit students should be able to perform a range of music theatre repertoire with sound technical facility, awareness of stylistic diversity, meaningful text and lyric expression, embodiment of a range of narrative and genre styles and a sense of their individual creativity. Students must also demonstrate embodied acting through vocal performance, and an understanding of stylistically differentiated technical requirements.
