This elective unit is tailored for students aspiring to gain knowledge in specialised areas of occupational therapy to enhance individuals’ occupational performance and function. Within this unit, students will select two modules of specific practice areas aimed at enhancing occupational performance and functions of individuals with a range of health conditions and disabilities. Through critical appraisal and application of relevant concepts and approaches, students will develop fundamental knowledge and skills essential for their chosen specialised practice. Moreover, the unit will enhance their professional competency in planning and delivering occupational therapy services, empowering individuals to effectively address a variety of challenges in occupational performance and function.
