This unit of study builds upon students’ foundational knowledge of functional musculoskeletal anatomy by applying principles of functional anatomy to exercise analysis and prescription. Students learn to clinically address musculoskeletal conditions through exercise prescriptions grounded in anatomical analysis, pathoanatomy, biomechanics and evidence-based research findings. Emphasis is placed on the application of research findings in human movement analysis and exercise prescription to inform clinical reasoning.
