Indigenous scholarships

Driving social justice
Indigenous scholarships play a crucial role in improving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participation in higher education and promoting greater social justice amongst First Nations communities.

A combination of factors including socio-economic disadvantage, discrimination, living in rural and regional areas and having limited access to educational resources, means many Indigenous students don’t follow through on their dreams of studying at university.

At the University of Sydney, we offer a range of initiatives to assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to access the transformative power of education, including outreach programs, alternative admission pathways and a range of  scholarships and other financial support.

If you share our vision to create enduring social change through supporting Indigenous education, you can help our work by donating to the Indigenous Student Scholarships Fund.
