Engineering and Technology Precinct

$200m purpose-built hub for learning and research
Our new Engineering and Technology Precinct (J03) is a reinvigoration of our teaching, study and research spaces.

Get to know the Engineering and Technology Precinct

Our new Engineering and Technology Precinct consists of nine levels containing students spaces and cutting-edge research labs.

It flows seamlessly from the previous J03 Electrical Engineering Building via a spectacular glass atrium, connecting our legacy with our future.

Situated in the heart of engineering at the Camperdown/Darlington campus and adjacent to Cadigal Green, the building was designed by COX Architecture and built by Laing O'Rourke based on the University of Sydney's Wingara Mura design principles.

Our Engineering and Technology Precinct has placed sustainability at the heart of its design and has been awarded a 4 Star Green Star.

The new building has been designed to include energy-efficient lighting, improved indoor air quality features, a solar photovoltaic system on the roof, promotion of sustainable transport, and surface heat reduction conscious landscape design.
