Featured labs and facilities

Aerospace, mechanical and mechatronic facilities

From agricultural robotics and drones to advanced materials technologies, our extensive range of laboratories facilitate teaching, research and industry service excellence.

Biomedical laboratories

Our dedicated laboratories facilitate a wide range of interdisciplinary educational and research activities in the field of biomedical engineering, including the new Implantable Bionics and Electroceuticals Laboratory.

Fluids and Convection Laboratories

The Fluids Laboratory has a total floor area of over 500m2, and is home to our 30 metre wave flume and a number of specialised water flumes. It is also incorporates the Convection Laboratory.

Immersive Learning Laboratory

Powered by the latest virtual reality technologies, the new Immersive Learning Laboratory (ImmLL) is the largest of its kind in Australia. As a student you’ll receive in-the-field experience and interact with new and diverse environments – all without leaving campus.
