Early learners

Introducing young minds to art, science, history and culture
A visit to the new museum on our historic campus is the first step to fostering life-long learning,

We welcome early learners from preschool, daycare and childcare centres to programs full of storytelling, interactive art and craft activities and empathy developing roleplay.

These tours are packed with fun things to do and are designed to inspire children's interest in museums.

Activities are based around current exhibitions, and include:

  • storytelling
  • mummy wrapping and toga-wearing
  • our 'beetles and bugs' program
  • creative play
  • learning about indigenous cultures.

The NSW government has relaxed some COVID-19 restrictions on school excursions. Talk to us about your group’s educational needs, and we can match you with a program.
