Our Coursework Policy explains how our coursework degrees work. It covers admission, recognition of prior learning, enrolment, assessment, course progression, and completion.
Students: to understand what needs to happen throughout their course.
Academic staff and affiliates: to guide in designing, teaching, and assessing coursework units.
Professional staff: to help advise and support students and teachers.
Admission is mainly based on academic merit, shown by high school or previous tertiary results. For undergraduates, this is usually based on an ATAR or equivalent. International applicants can provide similar results or use approved preparation programs.
We also have special admission programs for domestic applicants which include:

We monitor your progress and offer you support. We also encourage you to ask for help if you’re struggling. The Support for Students Policy provides full details of what is available and how to get in contact.
If you're identified as at risk of not completing your degree (for example, failing more than 50% of your units), you might receive an academic caution and be advised to seek support.
Support includes:
If your performance doesn’t improve, you could be asked to ‘show good cause’ to explain your poor results and present a plan to improve. Not showing good cause could lead to exclusion from your course.
