This scholarship is valued at $15,000 per year, tenable for up to four years.

Note: If you are undertaking a combined law degree the scholarship is only valid for the duration of the business award course and honours year.
1. Background
a. This Scholarship was established in 2006 to support exceptional, well-rounded students with a demonstrated interest in business.
2. Eligibility
a. Applicants must be Australian Citizens or Australian Permanent Residents.
b. Applicants must have successfully applied through UAC to commence an undergraduate degree administered by the University of Sydney Business School.
c. Students commencing with credit from previous studies are eligible to be considered if their approved credit does not exceed 48 credit points.
d. Applicants must have achieved an ATAR (or equivalent) of at least 99.5 in the NSW HSC or equivalent.
3. Selection Criteria
a. The Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of:
I. academic merit,
II. answers provided in the common undergraduate application form, including demonstrated leadership skills, community involvement, extra-curricular participation, and academic achievements,
III. demonstrated public speaking abilities and an interest in Business, and
IV. an interview.
b. The Scholarship will be awarded by the Dean of the University of Sydney Business School, or their nominated delegates.
4. Value
a. The Scholarship is valued at $15,000 per annum and is tenable for up to three years, plus an additional year for completion of the Bachelor of Advanced Studies (where applicable).
b. The Scholarship annual value will be paid in two equal instalments after the census date of each semester.
c. Deferral of the Scholarship is not permitted.
d. Transfer of the Scholarship to another degree program is not permitted without the permission of the Dean responsible for the initial program and does not involve lengthening the tenure of this Scholarship.
e. The Scholarship will be offered subject to the availability of funds.
f. No other amount is payable.
5. Ongoing eligibility
a. To continue receipt of the Scholarship, the recipient must enrol in 24 credit points each semester and maintain a minimum Semester Average Mark (SAM) of 75. Undertaking a minimum full-time load will not extend the duration of the scholarship.
b. If extenuating circumstances arise, the recipient may submit a request to decrease their study load to a minimum full-time load per semester (18 credit points), but only with the permission of the Faculty. The duration of the Scholarship will not be extended if a recipient undertakes a minimum full-time load.
c. Recipients undertaking an exchange during the tenure of this Scholarship are required to have achieved a Satisfied Requirements grade (SR) to receive their next payment.
6. Termination
a. The Scholarship will be terminated if the recipient:
I. withdraws from an eligible course or fails to enrol,
II. enrols in fewer than 22 credit points in a semester without prior approval by the Business School,
III. does not maintain satisfactory academic performance,
IV. is determined by the University to be guilty of serious misconduct, including, but not limited to, having provided false or misleading information as part of their Scholarship application,
V. accepts an alternative multi-year scholarship, administered by the University of Sydney, valued at $8,000 per annum or more,
VI. does not resume study at the end of a period of approved leave, or
VII. any other provision as indicated in these terms that would lead to termination.
b. Once the Scholarship has been terminated, it will not be reinstated unless due to University error.
c. Where a student is found guilty of serious misconduct or the Scholarship is terminated under any instance in the Termination Clause of these terms and conditions, the University reserves the right to request that any Scholarship funds paid to the Scholarship recipient be reimbursed.
