Benefits
The Scholarship will provide a stipend allowance equivalent to the University of Sydney’s Research Training Program (RTP) stipend rate per annum (indexed on 1 January each year) for up to 14 research periods, subject to satisfactory academic performance. No extension possible
Who's eligible
You must:
- have an unconditional offer of admission or being currently enrolled to study full-time in a PhD within the University of Sydney School of Architecture Design and Planning.
- Hold an Honours degree (First Class or Second Class Upper) or equivalent, a master degree with a substantial research component
- have background in a relevant research field (e.g. geography, environmental studies) with a substantial research component or equivalent.
- must design and carry out research in consultation with Prof. Chris Gibson as part of the Laureate project ‘regional decarbonisation transitions: an inclusive place-based approach’. The successful applicant will contribute to the wider Laureate project and the project’s research team as agreed upon with Prof. Gibson.
Background
This Scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance a PhD student who is undertaking a PhD degree as part of the Australian Research Council Laureate Project ‘Regional decarbonisation transitions: an inclusive place-based approach’ within The University of Sydney School of Architecture, Design and Planning.
The Scholarship is primarily funded by the Australian Research Council (ARC) through the scheme Australian Laureate Fellowships (FL) (FL240100124) and will be topped-up by internal project funding provided via a University of Sydney DVCR grant.
