Who's eligible

You must:

  • be a domestic or international student
  • be currently enrolled full-time in the fourth year (Honours) of the Bachelor of Advanced Computing, within the School of Computer Science at the University of Sydney
  • have achieved the highest annual average mark (AAM) in your third year of the Bachelor of Advanced Computing

This scholarship was established in 2020 and is awarded to an outstanding student enrolled in their fourth year (Honours) of the Bachelor of Advanced Computing.

This scholarship is named the Citadel | Citadel Securities Prize for Excellence in Computer Science and has been generously donated by Citadel Enterprise Asia Limited.

1. Background

a. This Scholarship was established in 2020 and is awarded to an outstanding student enrolled in their fourth year (Honours) of the Bachelor of Advanced Computing.

b. This Scholarship is named the Citadel | Citadel Securities Prize for Excellence in Computer Science and has been generously donated by Citadel Enterprise Asia Limited.

2. Eligibility

c. The Scholarship is offered subject to the candidate being currently enrolled full-time in the fourth year (Honours) of the Bachelor of Advanced Computing, within the School of Computer Science at the University of Sydney.

3. Selection Criteria

a. The Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit to the student who achieved the highest annual average mark (AAM) in their third year of the Bachelor of Advanced Computing.

b. The Scholarship will be awarded by the Head of School, School of Computer Science, Faculty of Engineering or their nominated delegates.

4. Value

a. The Scholarship is valued at $1,000 and is tenable for one year.

b. The value of the scholarship will be shared if two or more students achieved the highest annual average mark (AAM).

c. The Scholarship will be paid as a one-off payment after the first relevant census date

d. Deferral of the Scholarship is not permitted, and it is not transferable to another University school, faculty or university.

e. The Scholarship will be offered subject to the availability of funds.

f. No other amount is payable.

5. Ongoing eligibility

a. No ongoing requirements.

6. Termination

a. The Scholarship will be terminated if the recipient:

I. withdraws from an eligible course or fails to enrol,
II. commences part-time study without prior approval,
III. does not maintain satisfactory academic performance,
IV. is determined by the University to be guilty of serious misconduct
V. does not resume study at the end of a period of approved leave, or
VI. any other provision as indicated in these terms that would lead to termination.

b. Once the Scholarship has been terminated, it will not be reinstated unless due to University error.

c. Where a student is found guilty of serious misconduct or the Scholarship is terminated under any instance in the Termination Clause of these terms and conditions, the University reserves the right to request that any Scholarship funds paid to the Scholarship recipient be reimbursed
