The Faculty of Science is proud to sponsor the Australian Museum Sleek Geeks Eureka Prize for both primary and secondary schools. The national awards showcase and celebrate excellence in science and innovation. The faculty also sponsors the Eureka Prize for Innovation in Sustainability Research.
The NSW Premier’s Scholarship for Mathematics Teaching recognises outstanding teachers of mathematics who have made significant contributions to the field of mathematics education.
The Volvo Ocean Lovers Festival is an event that brings together the community to celebrate and protect marine environments through science, art, music and other interactive exhibits. The Faculty of Science runs various STEM workshops and exhibits every year at this festival in Sydney.

Inspiring Australia NSW plays a crucial role in promoting public awareness and understanding of STEM throughout the state. The Faculty of Science partnered with this program from 2014 to 2025.
This prize recognises outstanding reporting on science and environmental issues, celebrating journalists who communicate complex concepts in an engaging and accessible way. The University of Sydney partners with the Walkley Foundation to support and recognise excellence in journalism covering STEM and environment topics.
The University of Sydney has a partnership with the Taronga Education Alliance to deliver innovative education programs (including a specialised Bachelor of Wildlife Conservation (Taronga) degree) and experiences that combine conservation, wildlife and outdoor education, enhancing learning outcomes for students.
