The M in STEM
Opportunity for Years 9-12 students to experience maths in the real world
Is there a young maths whiz in your life curious about where maths can take them in the future? If so, bring them along to our new, two-hour after-school event where they’ll hear from a variety of presenters about career paths and the rewarding roles mathematicians hold across STEM disciplines.
This event also draws attention to the signficant role of mathematics in almost everything we do, to encourage the next generation of science communicators and maths stars to consider a variety of careers.
Due to the growing importance of technology, big data and economic efficiency in all kinds of businesses, mathematics, statistics and data science graduates continue to be in high demand.
Students will meet and chat with inspiring STEM professionals to help them turn their passion and talent into a real plan for life beyond school.
