Special Consideration for Admission Scheme

If you have a record of tertiary study and your secondary or tertiary studies were impacted by circumstances outside your control you can apply for special consideration.

This scheme allows students whose Year 12 results or academic qualification are close to but below the entry requirements to apply for entry through special consideration.

Applicants provide details of the circumstances that contributed to their secondary or tertiary studies being negatively impacted and provide a statement explaining why they will succeed at university.

  • be a domestic student with a record of any tertiary study*
  • have experienced disruption during your secondary or tertiary studies

This scheme is also available for applicants who have been excluded from a course at a tertiary institution and wish to provide a statement about the reasons for the exclusion. These applicants must have completed one semester of study at another recognised tertiary institution.
