How it works

Prospective PhD candidates interested in finding an SEI-aligned supervisor can apply. If supervision is agreed, prospective students must apply via a University of Sydney Faculty or School.

We welcome EOIs for students whose research aligns with SEI’s research themes to undertake their PhD in affiliation with SEI. However, please note that PhD research supervision with SEI is contingent upon successful acceptance into a University of Sydney Faculty or School.

Please note that there are a limited number of positions for PhDs with SEI. PhD supervision with SEI is in high demand and preferred supervisors cannot always be accommodated.

EOIs are welcome at any time. It is your responsibility to submit an EOI in relation to relevant PhD application submission dates.

EOIs will be assessed two times a year on the following dates.
