Developing the science to support sustainable food production is crucial for the long-term viability of Australian agriculture. This unit of study will equip Master of Agriculture and Environment students with an understanding of the environmental contexts in which agriculture operates and the key principles that underpin sustainable approaches to agriculture and horticulture. The course covers topics ranging from the principles and practices of regenerative agriculture, precision crop and livestock production systems and how our food systems are responding to growing environmental and social challenges.
