This unit of study is the first clinical education unit in which the students' clinical placement journey begins, introducing them to real-world healthcare environments. Over the first 8 weeks, students will engage in comprehensive lectures designed to equip them with foundational knowledge and skills necessary for their upcoming placement. Following this preparatory phase, students will commence their placement, where they will gain hands-on experience, develop professional interpersonal skills and apply theoretical concepts to practical scenarios. The role of the diagnostic radiographer will be integrated with their professional practice units to ensure alignment with standards professional practice.
