The Equine Centre Camden provides specialist equine rehabilitation and therapy services as part of our Equine Sports Medicine program.
Our rehabilitation services support horses recovering from injury or surgery, as well as performance and competition horses requiring targeted therapy to optimise strength, movement and comfort. Services are delivered in a veterinary teaching hospital setting, enabling close collaboration between rehabilitation clinicians and specialist veterinarians.
Our approach to equine rehabilitation combines:
All rehabilitation is delivered with a focus on functional recovery, comfort and long‑term performance, rather than short‑term symptom management.
Treatments may be delivered sequentially or concurrently, depending on the horse’s condition and the clinicians involved.
Assessments are primarily conducted by Equine Sports Medicine specialist Dr Nicolle Wiechula, with support from Dr Marta Wereszka.
Our rehabilitation services support:
While most clients are located within approximately 60km of our Camden location (410 Werombi Road), we also support regional NSW and interstate clients, particularly where specialist sports medicine or rehabilitation input is required.
As part of the University of Sydney, the Equine Centre Camden offers:

Our rehabilitation services support:
Programs are adapted to suit the horse’s discipline, workload and stage of recovery.

No. Rehabilitation and therapy services may also benefit performance and competition horses by supporting conditioning, addressing minor issues early, and helping maintain long‑term soundness and comfort.
Rehabilitation therapy is closely integrated with sports medicine, diagnostic imaging and surgery at the Camden Equine Centre. This ensures rehabilitation plans are informed by diagnostic findings and aligned with the horse’s overall treatment and performance goals.
Equine rehabilitation and therapy services are based at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital Camden, Equine Centre, located at 410 Werombi Road. Most clients are located within Greater Sydney, with support also provided for regional NSW and interstate cases when required.
